SINCE 1918

The record since 1918

Four generations of American manufacturing, documented in the federal record — from Youngstown trunk maker to Los Angeles systems manufacturer.

The Armored Group, Inc. is a family-held American manufacturer of protective transport systems. Founded in 1918 as a trunk maker in Youngstown, Ohio, the company registered the Armored Trunk Mfg. Co. trademark with the USPTO in 1923, relocated its manufacturing to Los Angeles around 1930, and incorporated in California in 1986. Four generations of the same family have carried the work — from trunks and footlockers to engineered protective transport — in continuous operation for over a century.
